As part of the Enterprise System Management Observability team, you will be part of the DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, and Observability journey, helping to modernize production support strategies and adoption efforts across Morgan Stanley environments.

As an engineer on this team, you will : - Evaluate, implement, and provide best practice guidance for leveraging open source / vendor tooling- Have opportunities to lead in the adoption of new technologies and transformative solutions- Be accountable for developing robust solutions using modern developer paradigms- Be encouraged to contribute back to open source communities - Collaborate with customers, peers and partners, and actively ensure we’re designing and delivering responsive, useable and practical solutions with their requirements in mind
You have : - Proficiency in Python- Strong software development skills and the experience to prove it- A thorough knowledge of Git, Jenkins, CI / CD, and Agile methodologies- Ability to solve complex technical problems via the application of solution / design thinking- Ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences- Ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally and across teams- Ability to take initiative, innovate and experiment You might also have : - Experience with Prometheus, Alertmanager, Grafana, Loki, OpenTelemetry - Familiarity with SRE, SLOs, SLIs, MTTR , etc- Experience with Cloud deployments, docker containerization, and service mesh- Experience monitoring and troubleshooting production apps - Familiarity with web technologies such as Angular 2+, Swagger, Flask- Experience building and maintaining CLI scripts and automation Team Profile : We are a globally distributed team of infrastructure engineers and software developers who are passionate about innovative technology and enabling other technologists.
