We are hiring SAP Project Manager for one of our client for Dubai location, please find the below details of the opportunity.

Resource Required :

  • We are looking for an SAP and supply chain experienced project manager that can set-up the project and coordinate the work between the different teams involved : SAP Teams (B2R, O2C, D2B, P2P, ECR, EA, Master Data, etc.
  • Supply Chain and 3PL to be ready by July 2022, including hyper care till Sep 2022

  • The Project Managers role will be to manage a warehouse solution implementation project
  • This role requires an individual with excellent project management skills, to be able to deal with many different stakeholders internally and externally, detail-minded, and strong commitment to complete the project on time.
  • Experience in implementing automated warehouse in B2C retail industry is preferred.
  • Key Business responsibilities include but are not limited to :

    1. Planning and scheduling :

  • Lead the planning and implementation of 3PL warehouse integration
  • Facilitate the definition of DC operating processes, goals, and deliverables
  • Define project tasks, project milestones and resource requirements
  • Develop a full scale and comprehensive project plan (including budget and resource)
  • Manage and coordinate project resource; both internal ELC's businesses and functional processes owners, and external 3rd party logistics service partner(s) in both distribution and Logistics.
  • Assemble and coordinate project members including the management of and collaboration with 3rd party logistics service partner(s) in both distribution and Logistics
  • Plan and schedule project timelines
  • Ensure project tasks are executed and reviewed within scope
  • 2. Stakeholder engagement and leadership :

  • Manage project expectations with external and internal stakeholders
  • Run project status meetings and retrospective meetings
  • Liaise and negotiate with vendors and service providers
  • Act as the main contact for project activities
  • 3. Reporting and project reviews :

  • Coordinate and monitor projects through the entire project lifecycle
  • Report and escalate issues when necessary
  • Manage and measure project performance with appropriate KPIs
  • Continuously follow up on the progress, risks, and opportunities of the project
  • Make recommendations for project improvements
  • 4. Risk Management and Assessment :

  • Manage project expenditures and tracking against approved project budget
  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools
  • Provide direction and support to project team members
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions, where necessary, to achieve consistently and promptly with defined scope of work, commitment, and project goals
  • Quality assurance, health, and safety management
  • Constantly monitor and regularly report on project progression and status to all business and functional process stakeholders
  • Prepare and present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions, and project risks
  • Qualifications :

  • An undergraduate bachelor's degree or postgraduate master's degree in project management.
  • An undergraduate bachelor's degree or postgraduate master's degree in Supply chain / Logistics
  • An understanding of Warehouse Management systems
  • Previous experience working with an implementation project - with strict regulations.
  • Key IT responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Function as a project leader and IT professional, applying technical expertise and project management best practices (including Agile) to help ensure projects meet their goals / objectives.
  • Responsible for overall coordination, risk management and stability of project-oriented work efforts.
  • Receives general direction and guidance but must be able to work in a highly collaborative environment and function as an individual contributor.
  • Secure project resources from the different teams; Kick-off project; Define project plan and key milestones (Design, development, unit test, UAT, production and Hypercare);
  • Organize blueprint sessions with business / Global teams in to validate requirements; Coordinate activities between the different teams (design and testing phases)
  • Status reporting and Communication; Monitoring and controlling the project; Issue and risk management
  • Senior Stakeholder management and communication.
  • Manages one or more cross-functional projects of medium to high complexity.
  • Uses project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations.
  • Effectively applies ELC / IT (GIS) PMO methodology and enforces project standards across projects and work efforts.
  • Assembles project plans and teamwork assignments
  • Directs and monitors work efforts daily
  • Identifies resource needs and ensures resources are accountable and delivering against their project commitments.
  • Performs quality reviews and follows quality assurance procedures
  • Manages project risk exposure and escalates functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately.
  • Tracks key project milestones and manages project plan, budget and / or resources to meet the needs of stakeholders based on agreed requirements and scope, using defined change control processes.
  • Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk, and resources (people / money) of the work effort being managed.
  • Provides Project Financial Management, to :
  • a. Manage project budget and changes

    b. Track and report team hours and expenses on a weekly basis

    c. Update project forecasts monthly

    d. Track and report on project burn rate

  • Manages interdependencies across IT, working with other Project and Program Managers to identified and manage interdependent deliverables.
  • Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Selects appropriate work procedures and approaches to address technical / functional, process and / or people challenges.
  • Leads and / or supports various work efforts (assigned by the head of Global Applications Portfolio) which include efforts to enhance PPM (Project Portfolio Management) process maturity across the PMO and IT (GIS) department as well as efforts that support the ELC and Global Applications strategies.
  • Additional Specifications (e.g., physical demands, working conditions, equipment / machinery, specific skills, etc.) :

  • Must have 10+ years delivering complex IT application projects / programs, working at various levels.
  • Proven track record and experience in delivering projects within time and budget
  • Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools such as those defined by Project Management Institute (PMI) and included in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
  • This should include knowledge and use of resource management, portfolio management, demand management and governance techniques.

  • Experience leading complex cross functional projects impacting core business processes across corporate sales, supply chain and finance
  • Experience delivering; project management responsibilities across all business and IT functions
  • Experience of managing relationships and deliverables across global IT and business organizations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Advanced user of Microsoft application (i.e., Power Point / Excel)
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Project
  • Methodical in approach
  • Agile Project Management Experience (preferred)
  • Jira experience(preferred)
  • ITIL certifications (preferred)
  • Experience delivering SAP projects with 3rd party logistics partners
  • Duration : Project duration estimated in 12 months by the SAP Global Team; PM 100%
