Hiring for a Pattern Maker.
Job Location - Al Quoz, Dubai
Candidates current location should be in UAE
The Dressmaker who can understand and take customers measurements,cutting fabric and sewing can begin to assemble the clothing.
Education
Must have Sewing and design advanced techniques and methods for the position.
A degree program in fashion design is a plus.
Any additional diploma in coursework in fabrics, dress construction and pattern drafting Job Description :
1. Makes women's garments, such as dresses, caftan, high end wear according to the designer and customer specifications and measurements :
2. Discusses with Designer type of material, pattern, or style to be used in making garment.
3. Measures customers to determine modification from pattern, using tape measure.
4. Positions and pins pattern sections, such as collar, sleeve, or waist, on fabric, and cuts fabric with scissors following pattern edge.
5. Pins or bastes together fabric parts in preparation for final sewing.
6. Sews fabric parts by hand or operates single-needle sewing machine that joins fabric parts to form garment.
7. Sews felling stitch in hem of garment by hand to conceal thread.
8. Presses garment, using hand iron, to smooth seams and remove wrinkles.
9. May draft standard pattern according to measurements of customer and adapt pattern to obtain specified style.
10. May make garment according to picture furnished by designer and or customer.
