Head of Middle East / Market Engagement Manager - ICIS Dubai

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our fast-growing Dubai team as Head of Middle East / Market Engagement Manager.

You will be the face of ICIS in the region, representing ICIS at conferences, events and on client visits; and representing the voice of the Middle Eastern customer internally, supporting functions across ICIS with your market expertise.

This role will be particularly interesting to petrochemical market expert looking to move into a uniquely cross-functional role at the interface of market, strategy, commercial and content teams, e.

g. senior editors and petrochemical purchaser / trader / seller.

Key Responsibilities

You will be the face of ICIS in the region. Your key objective is to help Sales achieve high revenue growth in the Middle East, by leveraging your market knowledge to build and maintain relationships with key players in the region, demonstrate ICIS expertise and products, and conduct analyses of market potential.

You will drive ICIS brand reputation, for example by attending and presenting at key industry events, supporting customers who have market-

related questions, and joining sales visits to demonstrate ICIS expertise and products, help understand customer problems and find solutions.

You will also be the voice of the Middle Eastern customer internally, and provide market feedback and support to departments across ICIS, including Sales, Product Development, Events, Consulting and Editorial.

You will be a key stakeholder in the development of commercial strategies for the Middle East, and will drive the development and monitor the execution of the commercial strategy that will direct our commercial activities in the Middle East.

You will use your deep market expertise to help identify key opportunities and coordinate content-led client engagements.

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of petrochemical markets and good network within the market
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills at different levels of seniority, and an ability to quickly build rapport with new contacts
  • Willingness and ability to travel

  • Ability to work independently and plan ahead
  • Ability to think analytically and strategically
  • Fluent English and Arabic, knowledge of local customs
