Role The prime function and basicobjective of this position is to provide high level oversight forthe development and continuous improvement of program and projectmanagement offices.

The function of the programmanager is separate and distinct from the function of the projectmanager, however in some cases the same individual will serve inboth capacities.

Program manager managesmultiple projects and sometimes multiple programs while a projectmanager manages the teams responsible for fulfilling the projectand achieving its deliverables.

Duties AndResponsibilities

  • The Program Manager will ensurethe Program Management requirements are met and they will interactwith each project manager to provide support and guidance onindividual projects, including : Conveying the importantrelationship of each project to the overall program andorganizational performance objectives Working to ensure that theoverall program structure and program management processes enablethe program and its component teams to successfully complete theirwork and to integrate the components’ deliverables intothe program’s end products, services, results, andbenefits Working to ensure that projects are organized and executedin a consistent manner and fulfilled within established standardsResolving resource constraints and / or conflicts that affectmultiple projects within a program Aligning organizational / strategic direction that affects project and program goals andobjectives;
  • and Resolving issues and change management within ashared governance structure Responsibilities Program integration.Program scope management.

  • Program time management. Program costmanagement. Program quality management Program Human ResourceManagement Program Communication Management Program Risk ManagementDesign of new reports Facilitate continuity and standardizationacross departments Build and manage program teams Serve as a pointof contact for critical program requirements Ensure programdelivery following Charter and Execution Plan EducationProfessional Certifications Bachelor'
  • s degree; Engineering,Construction Management, Advance degree preferred PMP RequiredExperience Years of Experience : 10+ Description of ProfessionalExperience : 10+ years of project management experience forengineering and construction projects including knowledge ofconstruction methods, practices, procedures and contracts.

    Gas,Electrical and Steam Utility experience preferred Technical SkillsProficiency in software especially in Oracle Primavera P6, OracleUnifier, software Estimating, Oracle BI, Oracle EBS and MS OfficeSuite.

    Strong understanding of electric and gas utility business.Non Technical Skills Problem Solving / Analytics Advanced Written & Verbal communication Advanced Stakeholder Management AdvancedInterpersonal Skills Advanced Leadership Skills-Advanced
