JOB OBJECTIVE-

To locate and propose business to potential clients within the region as well as expand business towards other regions in the Gulf.

Handle Destination Management and promote other related products and services of the organization.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES-

  • Work with the Business Development Director communicating clients’ needs effectively and unambiguously to the support team.
  • Checking the status of clients’ accounts and pitching to potential clients as well.
  • Foster productive communication between the client and the rest of the staff and ensure efficiency and profitability for the client and the organization.
  • Drive the business towards long-term client relationships.
  • Directing the team towards research and analyzing data.
  • Working in synergy with other team members
  • Handle key client relationships within the corporate division and public sector.
  • Pitch business opportunities to existing as well as potential clients by creating case studies wherever possible in different industries and associations.
  • Create, Manage all RFP responses and preparation of client proposals, marketing materials.
  • Lead interactions with prospective clients.

  • Constantly support the research team and drive them while working on a specific event.
  • Follows the business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
  • Prepares action plans for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
  • Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
  • Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.
  • Maintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports.
  • Assists Various Departments in preparation of proposals and presentations.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers via meetings, telephone calls and emails.
  • Visiting potential customers for new business.
  • Making accurate, rapid cost calculations, and providing customers with quotations.
  • Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales.
  • Gathering market and customer information and providing feedback on future buying trends.
  • Representing your organisation at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations.
  • Negotiating variations in price, delivery and specifications with your company's managers
  • Advising on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions
  • Liaising with suppliers to check on the progress of existing orders.
  • Checking quantities of goods on display and in stock.
  • Recording Business development processes in house and sending reports as and when directed.
  • Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
  • JOB REQUIREMENTS-

    Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Business Development / Account Manager Exposure to Destination Management / Conference Management / Meetings and Events in the UAE will be a plus.

    Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Management studies (preferable) or any similar technical University degree (MBA)

    SPECIFIC SKILLS-

  • Excellent working knowledge of MICE concepts and awareness of trends in the MICE industry
  • Effective organisational Capabilities
  • Confidence, immense perseverance and determination
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and negotiation skills
  • Analytical and ability to interpret research data.
  • Knowledge of developing client budgets and prepare project P&L statements
  • Microsoft office is mandatory
  • Knowledge of CRM systems is Plus
  • UAE driving licence is a must
  • Proficiency in English and the ability to creatively articulate projects
  • Must be a self-starter and motivator
  • Willing to take up challenges
