Our client is now recruiting for a Procurement Manager for Supermarkets purchase experience within Light House Hold sector Mission and Responsibilities Mission Has the responsibility for pricing branding and promotion of his product group with the goal to optimize sales and profits For that he must in compliance with the Company s policies and procedures ensure costeffective purchase of all goods planning control and assure the defined SLA s for all the buying and selling process always having quality control as a warranty Building strong relationships with all the suppliers and customers is extremely important for this role Must have a commercial mindset as well as understanding consumers wants and needs Responsibilities From the procurement and buying perspective Design plan and implement sourcing and purchasing strategies Prepare daily weekly and monthly procurement reports Maintain a database of approved suppliers and merchandise Keep informed of changing industry trends Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and permanently challenging them to new trends Search for potential suppliers Negotiate contracts with suppliers Negotiate range of products prices and specifications with suppliers Compare proposals for price and specifications Track KPIs Ensure product availability and place appropriate orders Guaranty the achievement of all SLA Manage technological systems that track the shipment inventory and supply Design plan and implement sourcing and purchasing strategies Calculate forecasts for product demand trends Manage and track budget Prepare and provide reports for upper management Adhere to laws rules and regulations From the sales perspective Maintain a database of approved customers and price list Search for insights into consumer needs Build and maintain relationships with customers and permanently challenging them to new trends Search for potential costumers Negotiate contracts with customers Negotiate range of products prices and specifications with customers Track KPIs Ensure product availability and place appropriate orders Guaranty the achievement of all SLA Manage technological systems that track the shipment inventory and supply Calculate forecasts for product demand trends Manage and track budget with each of the customers Prepare and provide reports for upper management Adhere to laws rules and regulations Academic qualifications Minimum Degree in Management Preferential Degree and or Masters in Management Economics or Engineering applicable to the sector Professional experience Minimum 2 to 3 years in the performance of similar functions or equivalent Preferred 3 to 4 years in the performance of similar or equivalent functions Knowledge of languages English Advanced level Other Portuguese French Spanish Computer skills Office Word Excel PowerPoint e Outlook Specific knowledge Knowledge of the retail sector Knowledge of international trade and market knowledge of China is mandatory Normative requirements in the area of food safety Specific legislation on the importation of goods International automatic coding system EAN Knowledge of the local and European supply market Planning and control Supplier management Product management
