With an 8,000+ global team, Mercer Wealth provides advice to investors (sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, foundations, family offices and family holdings) on a wide range of investment-

related topics such as Portfolio Management, Governance, Investment Strategy (including Strategic Asset Allocation, Portfolio Construction, Manager Selection & Due Diligence) and Investment Operations (including custody arrangements, performance improvement, IT systems, etc.).

Due to growing demand for its services in the Middle East & Africa region, Mercer’s Dubai office is seeking a Management Consultant with a keen interest in Financial Services / Investments to join the Wealth team consisting of 18 consultants

  • Carry out a wide range of analyses under the supervision of a lead consultant
  • Support the delivery of consulting projects with the preparation of presentations
  • Carry out desktop research for a variety of purposes (e.g. projects, marketing, development of intellectual capital)
  • Prepare materials for business development and marketing activities for new and existing clients
  • Liaise with other specialist teams and other Mercer lines of business to deliver a streamlined service to clients
  • Attend and participate in client meetings
  • Deal with queries received from clients, investment managers, third parties and other Mercer lines business
  • Act as main support or project manager on a range of clients, ensuring the lead consultant receives the appropriate level of support
  • Qualifications

  • BSc or MSc (preferred) in Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Engineering
  • 2-5 years of experience in a leading management consulting firm preferably in a Financial Services practice
  • Arabic speaker preferred
  • Skills And experience required for the role :

    Strong academic track record in numerical subjects such as Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Engineering

    Strong communication skills (oral and written)

    Ability to interpret high level instructions and translate that into ground-level deliverables

    Ability to build relationships at all levels

    Motivated to deliver good quality work, with minimal errors (e.g. typos, grammar, formatting)

    Takes ownership for work, always ensuring standards and deadlines are met and keeping others informed and up-to-date

    Works well under pressure with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks

    Has strong self-initiative and curiosity in the Financial Services industry

    Self-motivated to seek out knowledge, test ideas and ways to contribute to the team

    Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)

    Progress with CFA exam is an advantage, but not essential

    Language requirements : Fluent in English (oral and written), Arabic would be an added benefit
