Iqarus are looking for a commercially orientated Lead Writer with a passion for business development to join our Bids & Sales Department.
As a key member of the Bids & Sales team you will work in collaboration with the Bid Team members, Business Development and Account Management owners, Client Solutions Team and CEO Office.
You will bring your experience of professional proposal writing to help produce written bid responses as well as research and design for the development of unsolicited bids, strategic commercial papers and whitepapers.
This senior level position will work under the supervision of the Chief Commercial Offer (CCO). With a background experience in journalism, PR, legal or advertising in either a past role or by qualification (degree or equivalent), the role holder will come with a strong team orientated work ethic.
They will have the ability to get accurate, high-quality information from all the internal, and where relevant external stakeholders to produce high-quality bid responses, value propositions and papers.
The ideal candidate for this job will be a seasoned professional able to write creative, commercial, effective, concise, and compelling content.

Duties and Responsibilities :
Drafts bid and proposal documents, managing stakeholder input and review as required.
Develop the boilerplates’ for each target market and company capabilities.
Develop and implement business development leads into tangible growth opportunities with new and existing clients.
Be prepared to support with thought leadership’, web and social media content development.
Through engagement with the business, continuously improve bid content and formats, including imagery and diagrams.
Ensure compliance to the bid qualification (bid / no bid) process.
Provide technical writing, editing, and proof-reading of all proposals.
Qualifications & Experience :
Typically, degree educated or professionally qualified in a writing profession
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a professional business writing discipline
Experience in the healthcare industry is desirable
