The purpose ofthe Guest Services Deputy Manager - Staffing position is to supportin the development of the GSE workforce operational plan bystaffing category (paid staff, volunteers, contractors).
Thisincludes daily run sheets, check-in / check-out procedures,briefings, equipment distribution, deployment and redeployment,break times, post-prioritization plans, debriefings and dailyreporting requirements and timings.
This position will support thescheduling and rostering plan and implementation for the GSE teamin conjunction with the workforce operations team ensuring workerwelfare laws are adhered to.
The main responsibilitiesfor this role include :
Support in the development of staffing operational plansregarding check-in / check-out procedures, deployment, equipmentdistribution, redeployment, break times, post prioritization planand retention for each staff category;
Manage the GSE office on site including management ofthe Guest Services Coordinators - Staffing, delivering thecheck-in / check-out, equipment distribution, and contractormanagement;
Develop shift patternsfor each position in the GSE team following worker welfare laws foreach staffing category and position;
Support the GSE Training Team as needed withdelivering Role Specific Training, Operational Specific Training aswell as any Just-In-Time Training;
Lead the teamresponsibly and proficiently, providing effective line managementto direct reports;
Setobjectives and evaluate performance of individual direct reportsand actively manage key personnel issues;
Ensure that all workforce acquire the requiredskills and knowledge through appropriate learning and developmentprograms.
4+years in a manager role working on a previous major eventprogramme, with specific experience related to developing GuestServices teams to put the Guest Experience at the heart of decisionmaking and service design :
Programme / project manager experience leading complexprojects;
Experience inworking in a multi-cultural organization, GCC regiondesirable;
Experiencein working on staffing plans and operations for big multiculturalteams and events (short time to train people with no secondchance);
Experience onplanning schedules, shifts and roster for a large team withmultiple individual situation related;
Experience in leading paid staff andvolunteers;
Experiencein managing contractors.
