Job Aim :

To take guest’s food and beverage orders and deliver them as per set standards and to provide efficient, prompt, courteous, consistent and proactive service to all our guests.

Accountabilities :

To be fully aware of the department’s Standard Operating Procedures

To be fully aware of all the company policies, procedures and government rules & regulations and to maintain good relations with the police and other local authorities at all times

To interact and communicate with guests & colleagues in a courteous, friendly, open and honest manner at all times

To be consistently well groomed & professional in appearance and to wear the appropriate uniform and name badge at all times

To attend team / departmental meetings and company training programs as and when needed or instructed

To be innovative, suggesting new ideas and investigating new ways of doing things or new services for our guests

To pass on all complaints / comments received from customers / clients regarding the bar service, the company, company services, etc.

to the Floor Supervisor / Manager immediately

To be fully aware of the major corporate clients and high-profile individual guests, current VIP guests, promotions, the opening & closing times of all outlets

To be aware of the daily arrivals & in-house events, especially VIP & regular guest arrivals

To carry out shifts / tasks when required and to perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Management

To deal with all guest complaints and problems swiftly and efficiently, ensuring guests leave satisfied and / or to pass on problems to the Floor Supervisor / Manager swiftly

To regularly liaise with guests, ensuring their satisfaction with food and service

To possess thorough knowledge of all local liquor laws and to adhere to them at all times

To up-sell any wines, aperitifs, night caps and dishes or specialties that the chef wishes to promote

To minimize operating cost by using all equipment and products in accordance with the departmental guidelines and to ensure that all equipment is turned off at the end of the shift

To report for duty punctually and to attend daily briefings in the assigned area

To report all maintenance issues and broken items in the daily assigned areas / sections

To show respect and care for guests belongings / property and working equipment at all times

To collect stocks from stores and ensure the requisition requests are correctly filled & authorized

To understand and remember menus and beverage lists

To greet guests courteously and address them by names whenever is possible

To serve food & beverage items to guests in a courteous, friendly manner and correct sequence

To follow the cleaning schedules and the opening / closing check lists as per the company standards
