Basic Function
To support Assistant Financial Controller on accounting and reporting activities in the General Accounting team within the Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH) Finance Department.
Scope
Financial Accounting, Closing and financial reporting, Internal controls, Fixed Assets, and Policies and procedures.

Principal Duties
a) Financial accounting :
Ensure finance and accounting activities are performed in accordance with all applicable rules, regulations, agreements and are fully compliant with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Saudi GAAP
Execute accounting activities to maintain the General and Subsidiary Ledgers to recognize / measure and record JHAH's assets, liabilities, revenues, costs and expenditures
b) Closing and financial reporting :
Participate in the monthly closing process to ensure timely and accurate accounting and reporting for JHAH
Prepare periodical financial statements and Shareholders' reports on JHAH's financial stability, liquidity and profitability
Support all statutory reporting to ensure that reporting requirements are met timely and accurately
c) Internal controls :
Contribute to a strong internal control environment to achieve effectiveness and efficiency of operations, reliability of financial reporting and compliance with all applicable laws
Support internal review of accounting and administrative controls to ensure adequate controls are in place to prevent / detect irregularities related to recognition, measurement, recording and reporting of financial transactions
Support external and internal audit teams during their regular reviews
d) Fixed assets :
Cooperate closely with the Fixed Assets Accounting team to ensure proper recording, depreciation and processing of fixed assets
e) Policies and procedures :
Maintain JHAH's financial policies and procedures based on best practices applicable to the healthcare industry
f)Other responsibilities :
Participate in ad-hoc project team activities to achieve given targets
Help to develop and maintain JHAH's chart of accounts (COA)
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
Experience
Minimum5 years of relevant experience (experience in the Healthcare industry preferred)
Certifications / Other requirements as applicable
Fluency in both written and spoken English, Analytical thinking and autonomy
Good Accounting and Finance management skills
Relevant computer skills (MS Office, ERP systems)
