Description : urpose of the Position : To manage the shipments and deliveries to ensure the customer and principals have a consistently exceptional experience.
Responsibilities & Duties Shipments : Review of shipment files. Timely and proactive follow-up with suppliers regarding despatch of goods and shipping documents.
Liaise with shipping companies and freight forwarders regarding shipments / bookings as required. Track vessel arrivals and prepare / distribute ship schedules to customers as required.
Timely and accurate processing of shipping documents and NetSuite documentation to Customs agent, Warehouse and Transport companies.
Accurate and timely input of shipment data. Customers are informed of shipment status Notify Industry manager if ETA, agreed in the contract is not achievable.
Work with Industry manager to identify alternative shipping method if its not meeting customer expectations. Deliveries : Prompt processing of ex stock deliveries.
Follow up with warehouse / transport and / or customer to confirm dely schedule Be able to prepare, distribute and maintain CoA's consistently and correctly.
Prepare and despatch labels (if not labelled at origin) to warehouses / transport prior to product delivery. Chase up PODS / Out-
turn Reports / Labelling confirmations with warehouses / transport product delivery companies as required. Notify customers of deviations and find alternative solutions.
Respect and act on customer specific requirements. Ensure service providers are creating a great customer experience (e.
g. compliance, trucks, professional image and warehouse). Operational / Other : Keep Industry Managers abreast of any operational issues.
Resolve day to day shipping, delivery and stock problems as they arise. Understand both supplier and customer specific requirements and maintain supplier / customer profiles.
Provide freight rates / transport quotes for Industry Managers as required.
