A hotel which is dedicated to families and friends who want to stay close to all the activities that the theme parks will be offering.

With 504 rooms, including 60 suites and 3 villas, Lapita is the perfect relaxation point after a day of adventures and fun.

Part of Marriott's Autograph Collection this amazing hotel offers five food and beverage outlets, two outdoor pools and a lazy river, a spa and health club, Luna & Nova Kids & Teens Club as well as meeting and event facilities.

The hotel's name was inspired by the pre-historic Pacific Ocean people and their journey and settlement into the Islands ( the Lapita movement ).

The design draws its inspiration from the exotic Polynesian tropical landscapes, featuring Polynesian flowers, lagoon-style pools, and themed activities.

Thefollowing are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to thesuccessful performance of the position : Convert business through proposal, negotiation andcontractual agreement to ensure all revenue potential and targets are achieved.

Liaise closely with clients to establish needs andexpectations and maintain records to develop sales opportunities. Responds to telephone inquires / requests for groupbusiness in the defined timeline.

Create and maintain accurate customer meeting / eventrecords in Marsha / Opera capture feedback and make suggestions for adaptingoffering.

Suggests positive alternatives throughcross-referrals, and ensures that business booked is within hotelparameters. Processes all correspondence within acceptableagreed time lines.

Monitor developments, innovations and best practiceacross the estate and competitor organizations and implement any process that will improve salesperformance.

Ensure follow up takes place with clients andopportunities are sought for repeat bookings. Support other hotel associates on their developmentof sales awareness and selling skills.

Prepares and maintains accurate account informationand profiles in Delphi Ensure that all sales opportunities are effectivelycross-referred where possible using the appropriate cross-sell protocol.

Produces contracts, proposals, BEO's and otherrelated booking documentation. Ensure strong knowledge of cluster Conference &Events products and selling strategies.

  • Utilizesselling skills to book all aspects of meeting in one phone call. Proficiencyin meeting room set-ups, A / V, and other support services Strongknowledge of all hotels in the cluster;
  • selling features, benefits andobjectives Understandingof contract management and legalities. Maximizerevenue by up-selling creative F & B and other event options Understandneed hotels strategy as developed by revenue management Understandand achievement of team and individual goals Systemsand software knowledge (Delphi,Microsoft, Profit Pack, Internet, Marriott Global Source) Perceive the wider impact of issues on theimmediate business environment Communicate the vision in the way that generatesexcitement, enthusiasm and commitment.

    Focus on the customer and find ways to meet, exceedtheir expectations Build productive relationships with colleagues bothinternally and externally Identify and manage the best resources toeffectively deliver project plans.

    OTHER Performs other related tasks as assigned bymanagement. Complies with Marriott International Hotels LimitedRegional Office policies and procedures.

    Working hours as required to do your job butnormally not less than 39 hours per week.
