Our successful Banqueting / Events Sales Co-Ordinators
Actively seek out new F&B / Banquet / Event business for the hotel / maximise all revenue opportunities
Strong administrative skills / ability to use email and office applications (Word, Excel,Powerpoint)
Participate in department budgeting and forecasting
Work with government bodies such as DCT / ADFCA / CID
Sets sales targets for the hotel / unit F&B Department and plan towards achieving the goal
Have contacts in the local market / international market
assist the Sales Team in sight visits and securing new business
planning and staging client functions, site inspections and educational’s / follow up post function on client satisfaction
promptly follow up on outstanding quotes, requests for proposals, sales enquiries, pending billing and closing PM’s
Understand, create and execute BEO’s
Familiar with Micros / FMC / Opera and other hotel operating systems
analyse client and market information, and compile conclusive reports with recommendations for ongoing or new business
build co-operative and professional relationships with unit management and clients
Contribute to weekly / monthly departmental meetings
attend networking events and functions / make external sales calls
Social media savvy with the ability to monitor, comment and follow up as required
Work with Executive Chef / F&B Director in creating menus and pricing
work as part of a team or individually to deliver high quality standards.
Know and apply sales, marketing and promotional knowledge
Know and maintain confidential and non-disclosable information
Know how to process a range of bookings
Know how to address a range of customer bookings, such as : individual, group, VIP, conference delegates
Superior knowledge of all Hotel Operations requirements and standards in a Business Hotel
Know how to solve problems and recommend best practice potential solutions, whilst identifying the impact on the business and the achievement of the business strategy.
Knowledge of operation of the booking system Opera & (Fidelio)
Know how to present information and recommendations in an efficient and effective manner in order to facilitate sound decision making.
