Job Purpose

To develop and execute marketing plans and programmes - both short and long range to ensure the market share growth and expansion of credit cards for Core, Islamic and Business Credit Cards, based on research and analysis of customer trends, competitive information and changing demographic factors

Manage all new product development for Mashreq Credit cards straddling across products segments - Core, Islamic and Business credit cards

To strive towards product excellence through a process of research and analysis with the objective of creating the best in class value proposition across products

Partner and vendor management to ensure best value propositions are made available at low price points

The ultimate objective is to create and lead CIF growth with a consequent increase in

Profitable ANR with a view towards increasing the overall profits for the business. This is to be achieved through the overall increase in customer take up, customer activity and engagement and customer loyalty towards the segment specific card programs.

Tracking and updating competitive scans to get better understanding of Mashreq credit card standing vis-a-vis competition and implement best practices

Key Result Areas

To understand and define customer segments and establish strategies for product development based on customer needs and wants.

To consistently understand customer needs through consumer research and to define areas of alliances and customer benefits to bring best in category product features.

To enhance the scope of business through targeting new segments, processes and product approaches.

To manage, develop and introduce convenient payment channels with low cost of acquisition

To launch innovative products targeted towards the preferred segments based on Potential, profitability and business needs.

Launch new card propositions which will be the key driver for future growth and profit.

To make Titanium variant the entry level card and upgrading the Classic and Gold cards to earn higher interchange

To work with Acquisition team to define acquisition channels and sales objectives for the business and to define the overall acquisitions strategy year on year.

To define a segmented strategy of the segments most profitable and targetable by the business.

Provide a consistent and energetic proposition for the distribution channels.

To manage the alliance relationships to ensure alignment with the overall business needs of the business.

Manage the fee income revenue lines of the cards product to ensure achievement of annual business targets.
