Owing to career progression, a fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our team as Assistant Learning & Development Manager for Madinat Jumeirah.
In this capacity, you will supervise and implement the efficient and effective planning, coordination, administration and delivery of training activities relating to colleague / supervisory development for Madinat Jumeirah in accordance with the Training and Development Process to ensure that the Training Department adds value to the organization, supports the Madinat Jumeirah Mission and Jumeirah Vision, Guiding Principles and Hallmarks.
Your tasks will include :
Support the Learning and Development Manager in ensuring that the business unit is applying Jumeirah training processes and standards in a way that is consistent with other business units and is adopting best practice wherever identified.
Adhere to train and develop colleagues in the planning, coordination, delivery and evaluation of training and development activities.
Support the Learning and Development Manager in completing the annual learning and development needs analysis, developing the annual training plan and conducting the annual evaluation of training.
Support the Learning and Development Manager in ensuring that Madinat Jumeirah is meeting Regional and business unit training targets and objectives.
Carry out effective training on a range of subjects, with a focus on :
Leadership development programs
Career and self development
Support the L&D Manager by monitoring the departmental trainer process by conducting assessment centres, departmental training assessments and DT meetings
Conduct departmental training reviews and monitor the effectiveness of departmental training and departmental trainers and provide assistance where deemed necessary
Regularly meet, coach, support and motivate departmental trainers to ensure they are supported in meeting the on-the-job training requirements of their departments.
Work under the direction of the Learning and Development Manager to design and develop training sessions that satisfy identified operational needs within the business unit.
Maintain the National Development Process to ensure that Nationals are being coached, supported and have access to appropriate training opportunities in accordance with the Jumeirah National Development Policy.
Provide support in generating monthly UAEN reports on IDP completion
Support where required in the chairing of monthly UAEN meetings and communicate any updates, challenges to L&D Manager
Manage the performance of the Training Coordinator and administrator
Under the direction of the Learning and Development Manager, liaise with external training providers to organize training for the individual or organisational development needs identified.
Communicate information about training events in a timely and professional manner to ensure the business is kept up to date about training and development activities
Represent the Training Team and the business unit at internal and external meetings / workshops when authorised by the Learning and Development Manager.
Provide L&D opportunities for direct reports to grow and reach their potential
Product Owner for entry level leadership development
To carry out any other reasonable duties as required by Management.
In order to be considered for this role, you will possess :
Minimum 1 year in a training role
Minimum 1 year supervising or managing a team (any discipline)
Minimum 2 years hospitality experience (operational or support areas)
Competent and experienced (Min 6 months experience) in the delivery of supervisory level courses.
Competent and experienced (Min 6 months experience) in the facilitation of group and task trainer assessments.
Competent to assist in the delivery of management training and group trainer training under the direction of the Learning and Development Manager.
Additionally, it is preferable that you have successfully completed a CIPD Certificate in Training Practice or equivalent qualification.
Experience in the UAE is also a plus.
