Summary of Responsibilities :

Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Government Relations responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following : Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.

  • Arrange Trakhees employment visa application for colleagues.
  • Process Visa Medicals and Emirates ID.
  • Liaise with the Hotel Nurse to ensure Colleagues are scheduled for medicals for visas and Occupational Health Cards.
  • Assist colleagues with their document request of passport, Emirates ID, Trakhees ID etc.
  • Maintain database of all colleague documents including but not limited to visas, Emirates ID and Trakhees Cards.
  • Organize all applications for letters requests (Driving license, Salary Certificates for immigration and Alcohol license).
  • Enter all colleague information in DTCM system.
  • Update CID system with colleague information on regular and consistent basis.
  • Process Trakhees visa cancellation forms as required.
  • File all colleagues related documents correctly and efficiently on an ongoing basis.
  • Tracks all visa and passport expiry dates and gives sufficient notification for replacement procedures.
  • Provide advice to employees on applications for visit visas
  • Assist colleagues with advice on attestation of paperwork such as education and marriage certificates.
  • Apply online visas for hotel guests.
  • Prepare expense reports for all charged guest / colleague visit visas.
  • Preparing expense report of the daily government relations tasks.
  • Follow up with accounts on all expense reports and cheque requisitions in a timely manner.
  • Follow up with reservation department on no show & cancelled guest booking.
  • Apply DTCM permits for hotel entertainments.
  • To assist in organizing colleague events.
  • Assist in any other duties as required.
  • Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in Government Relations within a luxury hotel property or related industry.
  • Familiarity with hotel operating systems and software is asset.

  • Excellent administrative, interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize and meet timelines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer literacy a must, with excellent communication skills
  • Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken) is a must
