Essential and optional requirements

  • Previous experience in a 4 or 5 star environment and certification in a culinary institution.
  • Experience international cuisine including Arabic, in a la carte, banquet and buffet preparation.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Working knowledge of fundamentals of cooking with knowledge of all large and small kitchen operating equipment.
  • Key tasks

  • The responsibility of the position includes;
  • Liaise daily with senior chefs on preparation & production of all cold items including salads, Cold meat, dressings, hor d’oeuvres, pates, and terrines.
  • Ensure consistencies at all times according to hotel recipes and standards.

  • Complete daily checks of all Mis en place to ensure quality, maintain proper labeling, stock rotation, and minimize wastage, proper level of par stocks and supplies according to daily work sheets.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils and equipment’s, follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards.
  • Attend all daily shift briefings and all kitchen meetings, consistently train, delegate and offer professional and pro-
  • active guidelines to Commis chefs.
