The ideal candidate will have local / regionalmarket experience and will be able to handle the accounting andfinancial reporting function of the business which will includehandling the audit, treasury, tax / VAT, internal controls and riskmanagement functions for the business.
Responsibilities : o Leadingthe preparation of the annual, quarterly and monthly financialreports and ensuring timely and accurate compliance with therequirements of the annual statutory financial reporting oOverseeing the accounting function including the development of thepolicies and procedures, chart of accounts, as well as the AP / AR / payroll and inventory costing activities and transactions.
oLeading the liaison and negotiations with the external auditors onaudit work plans, timetables, resourcing and fees o Overseeing andsupervising the treasury strategy and undertaking treasury planningand banking relationship management o Overall Tax and VAT strategyand planning in compliance with local market regulations o Managingthe insurance policies and relationships with insurance brokers,optimizing costs and minimizing risks across the business
Requirements : o 12+ Years ofexperience, at least 5 of which as a Financial Controller oPrevious experience of working in the UAE / GCC within the educationindustry.
o Bachelors in Accounting or Finance; MBA ispreferential. o Professional Accounting Certificate (CA, CPA, CMAor equivalent) o Familiarity with GAAP and IFRS standardsApplications will be considered if you have the relevant experienceand your skill set match those required and stipulated within theadvert text
