Job Role : ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
This would be an ideal role for a strategic thinkingindividual with a firm grasp of how to ensure outstanding teachingand learning across the school.
Candidates mustbe committed to working in partnership with the local community anddeveloping ways to engage with parents and forge effectivepartnerships with them.
Strategic direction and leadership of schoolimprovement.
Provide inspiring and purposefulleadership for the staff, students and the widercommunity.
To develop a school improvementplan founded in a secure understanding of data and classroomobservation.
Monitor and evaluate theperformance of the school and the quality of teaching andlearning.
Continue to maintain an environmentthat promotes and secures outstanding teaching, effective learning,high standards of achievement and good behavior.
Develop and maintain effective links with the communityincluding business and industry, to extend the curriculum andenhance teaching and learning.
Improve theexisting system for the management of staff performance,incorporating target setting and individual developmentplans.
Continue to develop an organization inwhich all staff feel valued and recognize that they are accountablefor the success of the school.
You will be / have :
An outstanding classroom practitioner with aproven track record of raising attainment- in at least 2 yearsgroups in lower (FS and KS1) or upper (KS2) school
An experienced and highly effective middle leader in aprimary school setting
An excellentunderstanding of the English National Curriculum and standards atthe end of the relevant key stage
Experienceof leading a subject / aspect across lower / upper / whole school withdemonstrable impact
A proven ability insupporting others (CAs and teachers) to improve theirpractice
Experience of leading performancemanagement for CAs and teachers
Experience ofeffectively mentoring / coaching staff
Abilityto hold staff to account
Ability to managesensitive and challenging situations
Experience in managing data in in lower / upper / wholeschool and providing data summaries and be able to identify keypatterns and trends
Experience in leading themonitoring of teaching, environment and work outcomes
Experience in gathering evidence of impact- throughparent surveys, pupil interviews, staff surveys, data and othermonitoring
Experience of managing whole schoolevents
Experience of leading large groupassemblies and performances
Significantexperience of leading CPD, with evidencuied and measurableimpact
Qualifications Requirements :
Bachelor in Education or Bachelor in anydiscipline with PGCE.
Minimum of 6 years ofteaching with 3 years of leadership experience.
Ability to establishpositive working relationships with a range ofstakeholders.
