TheRole

  • This role will beresponsible for all financial and commercial matters activelydriving projects' performance. This position will overseethe projects'
  • specific funding strategy and ensureavailability of funds across various stages of the projects. Therole will be responsible to manage the end to end process oforiginating project finance facilities, source funding from varioussources, negotiate terms and conditions for the project, close thefinancing transaction inline with the project timeline, manage theproject from a financial perspective : KeyResponsibilities

  • Ensure the overall funding strategy and planning for thegroup's projects in a manner consistent withcompany's policies and procedures
  • Manage investor relations and develop and cultivatelong-term relationships with regional and international banks andExport Credit Agencies (ECAs)
  • Act as a leadrole to provide input for the project financing strategy andcapital structure to ensure most efficient and effective use of thecompany'
  • s capacity and borrowed monies.

  • Lead negotiation discussions with lenders and ECAs toobtain the best terms and conditions for the project and thegroup
  • Ensure the continuous monitoring ofproject forecasts, funding requirements and reporting thedeviations
  • Acts as an industry expert.Responsible for monitoring and communicating an ongoingunderstanding of the changing economic, legal, regulatory andcompetitive environments across all areas of projectfinancing.
  • Coordinates the Finance &Strategy function's and Treasury and InsuranceDepartment's strategic and tactical planning activities andmonitors the department'

  • Workseffectively with managers in areas of responsibility to ensure thatdepartment objectives, performance metrics, quality measures, andbudget targets are achieved
  • Fosters anenvironment in which employees are actively encouraged to identifyand implement departmental and company-wide continuous and qualityimprovement initiatives
  • Fulfils job duties andresponsibilities in conformance with sound safety practices.Performs other related duties as assigned
  • The Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in BusinessAdministration / Finance / Accounting or similar
  • Advantage for an accredited treasury, accounting orfinance qualification
  • 10+ years with 5 yearsrelevant experience in a similar role a Bank or a corporate in Oiland Gas Sector
  • Experience and a track recordof having been actively involved in a number of project financetransactions including end to end process of thetransaction.
  • Experience in having beeninvolved in structuring project finance facilities
  • Experience in having negotiated with banks and ECAs onproject finance terms and conditions and managed bankingrelations
  • Experience in having managed aproject finance facility from start of construction to completionincluding completion of key milestones such as lender'sreliability tests
  • Experience of dealing inbanking relationships and raising / managing project financingsector.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of localand regional markets and key players
  • Abilityto handle and clearly communicate complex financialinformation
  • Strong analytical andcommunication skills, including verbal and writtenskills
  • Highly organized and ability to workindependently
  • Experience in having led ateam
  • Skills in problem solving and criticalthinking
