Job Role : Manager Procurement &Materials Management
Primaryduties and responsibilities :
1.Developpolicies and procedures in the areas of Procurement, inventorycontrol, receiving, storage and distribution of materialsthroughout the company.
2.Organize, supervise andadministrate purchase operations.
3.Scrutinizing thematerial request including technical specifications and initiatepurchase actions.
4.Delegate work to subordinates andhelp them in executing it.
5.Floating and follow up ofenquiries.
6.Negotiating with the suppliers.
7.Verification of comparative statement and getting itapproved by the respective delegated authorities.
8.Verify and release purchase orders.
9.Co-ordinatewith Projects and Stores in procurement process.
10.Co-ordinate with Accounts department for timely payment, LetterOf Credit, Guarantees etc.
11.Oversee the process forthe customs clearance of shipments
12.Participate ininternal audits.
13.Attend weekly meetings.
14.Prepare budget for the department.
15.Evaluate andmaintain the vendor list.
17.Analyse the procurement processes and problems and developsolutions to enhance efficiencies.
18.Performanceevaluation of the subordinates.
Experience Requirement :
Minimum With min of 10 to 15 years significant experience,with at least 5 to 10 years work experience engaged in the field ofProcurement & Material management
