We are currently conducting a search for a Corporate Controller to work out of our Vaughn office. This position reports directly to the CFO.

Responsibilities :

Manage the general accounting functions including accounts payable, invoicing, receivables (including collections), and payroll

Preparation of financial statements

Ensure that effective accounting and financial control practices and procedures exist

Ensure accounting records are accurate, current, and comply with GAAP

Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls

Ensure that all certification requirements are met

Budgeting, forecasting, and planning

Treasury management

Taxation and reporting to Canadian authorities

Work with external auditors

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications : Chartered Accountant

Chartered Accountant

8+ years of progressive accounting experience

Significant experience working in a public company

Strong practical understanding of GAAP

Strong understanding of CEO / CFO certification requirements

Experience in construction industry considered an asset

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Strong leadership abilities
