AMIDEAST seeks a Program Officer with experience in project design, reporting, budgeting and evaluation (M&E) experience preferably in support of a portfolio in education in UAE.
This position is on a part time basis with a limited scope and duration.
Supports program planning by providing recommendations to determine the planning, operational, technical and budgetary requirements for specific project activities, preparing project design and supporting budget management.
Prepares mandated reports by coordinating overall preparations and submission of the program and financial data on a quarterly basis.
Assists as needed with the development of outreach and communication activities.
Responds flexibly and capably to a wide range of work-related requirements such as : (1) providing information on programs;
2) tracking progress; and (3) carrying out ad hoc assignments as dictated by unforeseen operational requirements at the discretion of the Country Director.
Coordinate and oversee data collection, strengthen data collection systems, and ensure data quality; develop strategies to improve survey response rates as needed.
Implement impact evaluations using appropriate templates and adhering to funder requirements.
Provide support in managing information and preparing M&E documentation for donors.
Master’s degree or the equivalent in a relevant field such as public policy, international development, economics, etc.
Minimum of three years of professional experience in a monitoring and evaluation position responsible for implementing programs in international development or international education field.
Experience with program implementation and monitoring for donor-funded programs.
Proven success in designing and implementing systems and plans.
Demonstrated strong analytical skills and the ability to summarize data, interpret results, and effectively present information to partners and donors.
Ability to process and transfer data into easily readable and concise formats and graphics for reports and presentations.
Excellent oral and written communications skills in English and Arabic
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work productively on teams
