The DHL Global Forwarding has an opening for an Intern in Human Resources based in Dubai, UAE for at least one year.

In this internship, you will support the Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging divisional agenda to help promote our strategic goals and initiatives.

During the internship, the intern will work on global and regional projects and initiatives that have a measurable impact on our business.

You will learn the fundamentals of driving a DI&B strategy at a large organization, engaging with varied stakeholders, and gain exposure to other functions of HR and the business as a whole.

YOUR TASKS

In this internship you have the following responsibilities :

  • Get to know a Global HR and Middle East HR organizations and gain first-hand experience in the above-mentioned project areas.
  • Providing support to our Employee Resource Groups and Diversity Initiatives, through the creation of ERG toolkits, developing new resources, attending meetings, and working directly with ERG / Initiative leaders.
  • Assist and contribute ideas for communication and employee engagement campaigns related to gender, diversity and inclusion for internal (Corporate Intranet and App) and external channels (DHL Global Forwarding Social Media).
  • Participate in industry related award(s) submission and develop a process for applying, tracking, and evaluating these annual awards.
  • Provide support by reviewing available documents and carrying out research to contribute to the development and implementation of the department's gender, diversity and inclusion strategies and action plans.
  • Gather and analyze data from different sources and assist with identification and analysis of trends and patterns in data.
  • Assist the Women at DGFF initiative in editing and revision of reports, briefs, and other documents as needed; drafting correspondence, talking points, reports, and presentations;
  • and attend meetings and prepare and disseminate notes, summaries or reports in a timely manner.

  • Coordinate meetings and organize inputs from diverse sources within the Department.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and reports.

    Here’s what we need from you :

  • Diligent, detail orientation, flexible, supportive, conceptual, independent worker
  • Enthusiasm for topics such as social media, online communication
  • Interest in diversity & inclusion
  • Excellent Command of English
  • Good Microsoft Office skills, especially Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Determination, willingness to independently familiarize yourself with new topics and an eye for detail
  • Ability to work in a team, flexibility, and high commitment
  • Advanced skills with PowerPoint
  • Design tools knowledge is a plus
  • Bachelor or Master student in Communications, Human Resources, Business, Communications, Psychology, Sociology, Organizational Development or similar
  • Preferable previous working experience during summer jobs or scholar traineeship
