The Franchise Operations Team are searching for a pro-active Director, Franchise Hotel Performance & Support Operations to join their team.

The role :

The Director, Franchise Hotel Performance & Support Operations will be an accomplished hotel operations leader with extensive experience in multi-

property Revenue, Sales & Marketing or a relevant other functional leadership.

You will build strong and effective relationships by providing support on how to maximise revenue generation from the system as well improving Brand Delivery, Guest Experience and Operational performance.

You will be the overall business partner for General Manager and Owner Groups for franchised hotels. You will act as the main contact in their relationship at IHG.

  • You will also provide oversight and direction of the AMEA Franchise Analyst and Support team based in Manila, which includes responsibility for the Franchise Hotel analysis reports design & production, management of the support desk operations and capability;
  • and growth and development of the team members.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake performance visits & calls to Hotels consulting on how to maximise system delivery and revenue through direction & discussion on practices, by communicating current initiatives, sharing best practices and training on systems
  • Ensure owners, GM’s, and appropriate staff understand brand values, and how they enhance the guest experience / add value to the franchise
  • Know each property’s current debtor status and play a role in assisting resolving of non-payments
  • Educate IHG IMEA central function experts in recurring barriers to system delivery, and engage in appropriate value enhancing initiatives
  • Articulate within IHG appropriate ways to improve communication & operating procedures
  • Coach General Managers on using the Management Action Plan as a continuous
  • improvement tool
  • Ensure timely resolution of franchise hotel issues and problems, either directly or through regional or central franchise support resources
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Hotel Management, Business, Hospitality, or a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experiences
  • What we’re looking for

    To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience as a hotel General Manager, Director of Sales or a Director of Revenue.

    Similarly, you will have in-depth knowledge of Hotel Sales, Marketing & Revenue functions, demonstrating work-related experience in either of these disciplines.

    The Director, Franchise Hotel Performance & Support Operations will be a self-starter and a quick learner, taking the opportunity to enhance best practices and drive performance to elevate capabilities within hotel operations.

    You will have the ability to build strong relationships within a vast and matrix led organisation like IHG. Similarly, you will have the aptitude to collaborate and influence at all levels.

    You will have strong cultural awareness to be effective in multi-country communications.

    You will have the ability to be analytical and use data to inform strategy and provide a basis to be able to negotiate with key stakeholders and enhance conflict resolution skills to achieve sustainable outcomes.
