Regional Key Account Manager - Industrial

You will ensure that Kuehne + Nagel maintains and expands its outstanding position on the market. As a result of your many years of experience in our industry you will lead the industrial vertical business growth in MEA region by focusing on a selective portfolio of customers which will make a difference in new business growth.

You will work on the industrial vertical road map for the key focused countries in MEA region where we have national key account managers responsible for managing and developing new business from agreed customer portfolio in their respective local markets.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • You will directly manage Key Account(s) as per confirmed account portfolio
  • You will need to understand the customer organization and decision making process
  • You will negotiate rates with customers in alignment with the BU’s and ensure rate sheets are documented and maintained as needed by the BU’s;
  • collaborative platforms to be used for more

    effectiveness and efficiency

  • You will comply with KN sales management processes and systems and ensure correct and timely updates (e.g Corelog) to ensure all sales KPIs are monitored
  • You will ensure that account plan(s) is in place based on the Key Account Planning Process and template and communicated with the heads of BU
  • You will effectively hand over new business into operations to ensure that customer requirements and KN commitments are met
  • You will support for setting up SOP's
  • Your skills and experience

  • a vocational qualification in business management and ideally a university degree
  • several years of professional experience in similar roles in the transportation and logistics industry including experience of line management
  • In depth knowledge of sea, air and road logistics
  • solid sales experience in industrial vertical in UAE / GCC is a must
  • a demonstrable track record of success in achieving personal and departmental targets, as well as entrepreneurial thinking and actions
  • powers of persuasion, diplomatic panache, excellent communication skills and outstanding on closing deals
  • leadership skills, particularly with respect to professional and personal staff development
  • ability to deal with conflicts and a solution-oriented approach to your work
  • very good English
  • a valid driving licence and willingness to travel
