Job Role : Science TrainingSpecialist
Main goal of the job - Creating,delivering and measuring the impact of training programs, measuringperformance gaps, comparing the impact of training against thecost
Prepare an annual training planaccording to the strategic priorities, evaluation results and thetraining needs of Health Science Teachers and relatedstaff
Design and develop training programs,providing technical support for core training in the implementationof the training programmes.
Evaluate trainingpackages in cooperation with the related departments according toindustry principles and best practice
Co-ordinate the external training provides to prepare ordevelop the content of training programmes that are planned forstaff in the light of the Ministry'
s needs and the trainingand professional development plan.
Identifysuitable staff to become internal trainers and prepare plans forqualifying them as certified trainers.
Assesstraining programmes, measuring their impact and analyzingresults.
Monitor the effectiveness of trainingand measuring the gaps between outputs and expected outcomes ofprofessional development programmes.
Contribute to the analysis of statistical data oftraining programs and the extraction of performance indicators anddevelopment solutions.
Prepare an evaluationstudy of the impact of professional development programmes on theperformance of staff and impact on students.
Apply best practice in the fields of training developmentof human resources and make suggestions for developing bestpractice methods.
Provide technical support toinform Directorate initiatives.
Carry out anyother tasks related to the job as required.
Qualifications : Essential
MA / MSc in a health-relatedsubject (e.g. Health Sciences, Nursing, Medical Sciences, ParamedicSciences, Health Promotion, Healthcare, Public Health, Nutrition,Health and Social Care
PhD / Doctorate ina health-related subject (e.g. Health Sciences, Nursing, MedicalSciences, Paramedic Sciences, Health Promotion, Healthcare, PublicHealth, Nutrition, Health and Social Care
Professional qualification in staff development, forexample, CPID Diploma in Learning & Development
Teaching or Assessing qualification (e.g. A1, TAQA,DTLLS, PGCE, Cert. Ed) or equivalent.
Experience : Essential
A minimum of three-years' experiencein a senior learning and development role
Health Science related topics (e.g. Health Promotion,Public Health, Nursing, Medical Sciences, Psychology, Human Anatomyand Physiology, Diet and Nutrition, Health and Social Care,paramedic, First Aid) or other relevant subject
Experience of providing training solutions in aneducational setting
Skills / competence Essential
Excellent written and verbal skills inEnglish, for non-native speakers, a minimum of IELTs 7.0 Academicor 7.5 overall with no less than 6.5 in any skill
