Stantec is currently looking for an Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dubai.
Some of the key job responsibilities of this role entail this following :
Responsible for the plumbing engineering design of domestic water distribution, drainage systems, compressed air, and gas piping systems, to include specialty plumbing systems for new and renovated buildings.
Prepare the design of the Plumbing systems to include the completion of code reviews, preparation of the basis of design, system calculations.
Review of CAD drawings, specification preparation, field investigations.
Other design as required to execute the plumbing construction for new or renovated buildings. Work will
be completed under the supervision of the Plumbing Project Engineer.
Mechanical Engineer (Plumbing & Fire Protection)
If you have the following qualifications, we would love for you to be a part our diverse team :
Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a nationally accredited engineering program
5-10 years of experience working within an international design firm, with a focus on Plumbing and Fire Protection Design.
LEED, PMP, or similar green building certification is preferred.
Working knowledge of hydraulic calculation software and MS Office is required.
Demonstrated Proficiency with International Building Codes and Standards, including the NFPA 13, NFPA 99, International Plumbing Code, HTM 02-01, and BS8301.
Demonstrated proficiency in specification writing in CSI Master Format.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Understanding of multidisciplinary coordination through
design and the construction process.
Experience with the latest versions of NFPA Standards pertaining to fire protection design, with a working knowledge of plumbing and fire protection system design.
