Job Accountabilities :

Key Performance Indicators

  • Achievement of sales revenue targets within timelines
  • Number of effective calls and client meetings made per week
  • Management of Sponsor’s deliverables with the support of Sponsorship Coordinator
  • Effective coordination with the production, event management, marketing, credit control and operations teams
  • Exhibitor and sponsor satisfaction levels
  • Timely & accurate reporting of sales results and activities
  • Identification of new revenue growth opportunities
  • Key Dimensions :

    Main Duties & Responsibilities :

    Sales and Account Management

  • Achieve and exceed set revenue targets for the assigned products and events in accordance with the sales plan
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships Customer retention Regular contact with existing clients throughout the event cycle On-
  • site account management to achieve high exhibitor satisfaction levels New business Developing new business and revenue streams, including sponsorship and other non-

    square metre revenue sources through market research, telephone contact, industry networking and client meetings

  • Set up a sound and a workable project plan for each sponsor with clearly defined time lines
  • Manage multiple events simultaneously
  • Develop personalized solutions based on client objectives that are sustainable and deliver Return on Objectives to the client
  • Plan, prepare and monitor annual sponsorship budgets for the event with strict adherence to revenue and cost ensuring achievement of profit
  • Work closely and define responsibilities and deliverables clearly to Sponsorship Coordinator to ensure successful campaign delivery
  • Ensure collection of payments by regular communication and coordination with the Accounts department
  • Work proactively as a team member sharing ideas and contributing to the overall growth of the department
  • Management and Reporting

  • Data capture of sales activities / calls and updating the CRM
  • Completion of sales progress reporting (e.g. revenue vs target, activity reporting etc.)
  • Monitor the debt reports and assist the finance team with revenue collection
  • Provide the marketing team with market intelligence to assist with marketing campaigns
  • Continually monitor and research the market using online resources, gaining customer feedback, attending competitor events where appropriate, and industry networking
  • Database clean and build
  • Effective communication with other internal departments including operations, marketing, finance to maximise client experience
  • Perform any other duties commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility.

    Minimum Education Level :

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Background Knowledge, Skills & Experience :


  • Significant and successful experience in a sales role
  • Previous sponsorship experience with a demonstrated successful sales record of high value sales activity in conferences or exhibitions
  • Full understanding of value based sales
  • Experience in creating and selling customised solutions
  • Computer literate and proficient in the use of commonly used business software
  • Full understanding of event sales cycles
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Commercial awareness
  • Attention to detail
  • Desirable

  • Healthcare industry knowledge
  • Awareness of exhibition / conference production
  • Experience of growing and developing new markets and products
  • Tele-sales, media sales or exhibition background
  • Understating of event cycles
  • Spoken Arabic
