About the Opportunity

The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Payroll Specialist and Payroll department. Receive, update, organize payroll forms.

Includes reviewing employee time and payroll data using meticulous attention to detail within the timekeeping and payroll systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Assist with bi-weekly and weekly payroll cycles
  • Respond to all emails timely with a courteous response that items have been received and processed.
  • Process employee changes including garnishments, vacation, sick, pay and position changes
  • Review all deductions, pay changes and taxes are updated
  • Edit and Review timekeeping data
  • Distribute paychecks and sign out sheets
  • Contact department supervisor and directors for any missed punches and missing paperwork
  • Coordinate and work closely with Payroll Specialists processing payrolls for our entities
  • Run and review payroll reports after each payroll cycle
  • Compile monthly reporting as needed for TPA vendors
  • Maintain online employee personnel file organization
  • Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal wage and hour laws.
  • Stay current on payroll systems to achieve alignment with HR benefits, turnover, leave management and ensure effective accounting support
  • Support HR department as needed and maintain high standards of confidentiality
  • Additional job duties as assigned

    Requirements & Qualifications :

  • No college degree required
  • Prior equivalent or similar experience a plus
  • Time Management
  • Some weekend work required occasionally
  • Basic Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Team player and have ability to work independently, self-motivating
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization
