About the role
You contribute to positioning the IKEA store as the Leader in life at home in our market in orderto maximize sales and long-term profitability.
I do this bysecuring the effective implementation of global solutions using myknowledge of people’s life at home, sustainability andconsumer buying behaviour in my market, trends in design andmaterials, and my home furnishing competence to adapt these to meetour national needs.
My main responsibilitiesare :
To ensure we visualize theuniqueness of the IKEA product range within specialty shops,compacts, self-serve furniture area and the Swedish Food market todistance us from the competition.
Optimizingthe use of the IKEA store layout and store media by developing andimplementing range presentation solutions, working with the priceand quality ladder, which strengthens the connection between theIKEA offer and every life of people.
Securinga very accurate and detailed planning of the assigned area duringthe commercial planning and to secure a very accurateimplementation of the assigned area during the commercial buildup.
Securing a deep knowledge of all storemedia as a specialist and clarifying the main purpose of each mediaand display techniques used.
Reflecting theIKEA brand identity and creating visual impact in all commercial,sales support and co-worker areas.
Key Specific Accountabilities
Production of the detailed commercial planspackage of the assigned area in a commercial planning and buildup.
Actively support the Expansion VisualMerchandising Manager in implementing the country business plan andthe country Com&In plan to support the optimization ofsales and our long-term growth in our new stores.
Support the stores to ensure the uniqueness of the IKEABrand identity in range presentation and store communication inorder to distance us from the competition.
Taking ownership for howwe are working with visual merchandising in my country.
Using range presentation solutions that are relevant tothe many peoples life at home in my national market and that itaccurately reflects demographics, living conditions and ourvisitors needs and wants.
Securing that oursolutions reflect a wide variety of style expressions and functionsto meet individual tastes and stimulate our visitors to changetheir home furnishings more often, using IKEA style groups and IKEAliving situations, supported by a good level of knowledge in designand material trends.
Develop the store layoutand support the stores to ensure it is used to create optimalvisual impact, a good overview and supports our commercialpriorities.

A goodunderstanding of working with home furnishing lighting andcommercial lighting as a sales steering tool, commercial lightingand home furnishing lighting to support medias, compacts andspecialty shops.
Working with IMS rackingsolutions in line with health and safety requirements. Working withsales and logistics to find the most aesthetic and functionalsolutions to achieve optimal merchandising.
Store Support(New Stores)
Demonstrate a deep knowledge and understanding ofpeople’s needs and wants, their living situations andliving conditions, sustainability, market trends in design andmaterials, and consumer buying behaviour in my national market andI am inquisitive and responsible to find out more.
Analyze the IKEA Customer Satisfaction survey (ICSS),IKEA Brand Capital, home visits data and other visitor feedback anduse these insights to work with the store Com&In teams toimprove the experience of our visitors and convert them intosatisfied customers.
Work with the SOCom&In colleagues and other SO functions to provide thespecific, relevant support which enables the stores and other IKEAunits.
Working with the ExpansionGraphic Communication Specialist, Expansion Interior DesignSpecialist to ensure consistency in how we communicate throughoutour new stores.
Supporting the new stores to ensure the implementation ofstore communication using the layout to create optimal visualimpact, a good overview and support our commercialpriorities.
Working withmy SO Com&In colleagues to ensure that all we communicateto the stores is consistent, understandable and cost-effective forthem to implement.
Sharing specialist knowledge, good solutions and ideas,coaching and mentoring visual merchandiser’s in new andcurrent stores to improve their competence.
Tohave a good level in presenting skills to share ideas, knowledge,and present plans and drawings.
