Responsibilities :

  • Report to the Executive Chef
  • To prepare wide variety and create unique baked Cakes, Pastries, Pie & desserts
  • Decorating pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting
  • Skilled in creating new and innovative cakes and desserts
  • To maintain and keep monitoring the quality and presentation of food
  • Developing creative customized cakes and baked goods for banquets
  • To ensure a high hygiene standard in food preparation and in the kitchen as well as the buffet counter
  • To carry out stock-taking in the kitchen regularly and baking ingredients when necessary
  • To assist in purchasing of kitchen equipment and utensils when necessary
  • To take initiative to identify areas for improvement and participate in continual improvement activities
  • To undertake other jobs assigned by superior from time to time
  • Requirements :

  • High school diploma / Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking or relevant field
  • 2-3 years’ experience as a Pastry Chef, preferably in a Hotel, banquet or catering industry
  • Must be able to provide a portfolio of creative work for consideration
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Precise eye for detail & creativity
  • Immediate available is preferred
