About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Jumeirah’s Group and Corporate office for an experienced SVP to drive our Corporate Marketing function globally.

The main responsibilities of this role include :

  • Contribute to the definition of the Group’s brand identity, in line with the Stay Different promise, including brand guidelines, approach to guest experience, and brand imagery etc.
  • in order to formalize and promote the Group’s various brands.

  • Responsible for increasing the brand’s market penetration with specific emphasis on creating a higher level of consumer awareness, brand loyalty and direct revenues across the global Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts portfolio.
  • Lead the Corporate Brand Development & Marketing functions for Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts brand portfolio globally including all Hotels & Resorts business extensions.
  • Evolve and implement the Brand Marketing strategy across Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts ensuring the company continues to drive profitability, competitive advantage and guest advocacy / loyalty through our brand portfolio.
  • Directly support Jumeirah’s consumer direct distribution commercial strategy of increased market share / penetration and profitability.
  • Contribute to the design of the Group’s brand marketing strategy, including market positioning, tone of voice, strategic markets, target customer segments and capacity projections in order to enable the Group to achieve optimal market penetration.
  • Lead the development of the Group marketing strategy through the definition of its architecture and standards as well as distribution plans and platforms, in order to make sure that the Group showcases its competitive advantage in a compelling manner and positions itself as a key player in the luxury space.
  • Lead the development of the Group loyalty and retention strategy through the definition of its architecture and global partnerships, as well as distribution plans and platforms, in order to make sure that the Group showcases its competitive advantage in a compelling manner and positions itself as a key player in the luxury space.
  • Guide successful creative marketing initiatives through appropriate media digital platforms, based on costumer analytics and marketing best practice, in order to raise the Group’s visibility and effectively reach its target audience.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Management and Strategic Planning functions in developing and monitoring key performance metrics to continuously measure the impact of brand marketing campaigns and align efforts to maximize revenue generation.
  • Contribute, in conjunction with and as required by the Chief Commercial Officer, to the formulation and implementation of the Brand Marketing strategy in line with Jumeirah Group’s vision, mission and strategy.
  • Manage department colleagues and teams by overseeing their performance management, recruitment, training and development to ensure high levels of engagement and competence and motivated work environment while continuing to deploy resources effectively for growth and further strengthening the employee value proposition.
  • Recommend the Brand Marketing budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs / revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential areas of cost reduction or performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of Brand Marketing policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of the department’s activity so that all relevant procedural / legislative requirements and standards are fulfilled while ensuring that Jumeirah Group delivers world class services, excellence and innovation.
  • Develop and leverage Jumeirah’s CRM marketing platform and website, multi-lingual interactive capabilities in support of Direct and Distribution Marketing’s customer / B to B intimacy , yield and mix of sales objectives.
  • From segmentation to cross-channel execution, offer management, real-time targeting, search engine marketing, search engine optimisation, online advertising interaction history, contact optimization, to reputation / feedback management.

  • Manage agency and supplier relationships and ensure that these partners truly understand and can maximize the value of the Jumeirah brand and its promise of Stay Different™.
  • About You :

    The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Economics, or equivalent from an accredited and renowned University.
  • Ideally a Master’s Degree in Marketing, Economics, or equivalent from an accredited and renowned University.
  • At least 10 years of marketing experience, at a senior leadership level, with an emphasis on consumer experiences and intangible products (travel, hospitality, consumer services).
  • Proven exposure to, and experience with, disciplined branding techniques and a track record of initiating ideas and seeing them through to execution.
  • Experience of working in an international capacity and a solid understanding of cultural and market differences impacting marketing and guest perception and preferences.
  • Excellent mastery of brand and customer marketing trends and revenue generation channels within the luxury hospitality industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of regional trends and best practices within the luxury hospitality industry.
  • Excellent understanding of core hotelier operations.
  • Excellent innovation and creativity skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and ability to persuade others to consider a different point of view.
