As a key member of the Initiative Management unit under the department of Strategy, Future and Institutional Performance at HCT, the Senior Manager Projects is responsible for advancing HCTs strategic goals by leading teams to deliver a portfolio of Strategic initiatives / projects that span across one or more business units.
He / She will have program management responsibility for multiple initiatives / projects in terms of resources, schedules and financials and must adhere to stage gate quality control guidelines throughout the full project management life cycle.
This also includes management of issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required
Minimum of one internationally recognised professional certification in program / project management.
Full English proficiency is required.
Advanced computer literacy is required e.g. MS Office.
Minimum of eight years of work experience in relevant field with at least two years of experience in a program / project managerial role.
Contribute to the development and implementation of the Department’s core function in alignment with HCT’s system-wide strategy through program and project management of a range of strategic initiatives that support the delivery of the HCT 2.0 Strategic Plan
Support the identification and development of key business processes for the effective management of strategic initiatives across HCT
Contribute to the development of regular high-level reporting on projects and budgets as part of the wider Departmental responsibility to ensure effective management, reporting and communication of the HCT strategic mission and progress
Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business across HCT
Full project life cycle management : successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously to ensure alignment to strategic objectives
Provide on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project
Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources and chair project management team meetings
Manage / Monitor staff performance and complete performance reviews for his / her subordinates (managers and senior specialists) in the team
Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership
Establish practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
Act as an internal quality control check for the project, manage ongoing quality control and participate in quality issue resolution

Provide professional development support and perform periodic performance reviews for direct subordinates based on HCT's Performance Management System.
Support with the development of workforce plans for the Strategy and Future function and work with the Human Resources function on succession planning for key positions in the function.
Contribute to the identification of learning and development needs of employees within the Strategy and Future function in collaboration with the Human Resources function.
Coach and mentor subordinates on a regular basis.
Contribute in an effective and efficient manner to the recruitment, coaching and mentoring of UAE Nationals in the unit
