Summary
The Community Planner is responsible for the acquisition, disposal, management of real property assets, investigation, resolution and all aspects of real property. Principal Accountabilities
Reviews property offers and advises the Government in negations with local government agencies and property owners to acquire real estate assets
Performs initial joint inventory and condition reports
Prepares negotiations report on items, conditions and costs for real estate lease file
Administers real estate contracts, monitors existing contracts, prepares reports and updates lease summary reports
Advises the Government in negotiations on contract amendments with local Government agencies
Advises the government in disposal of excess real estate assets. Resolves problems between users, owners and Government agencies on real estate matters
Perform other qualified duties as assigned
Knowledge & Skills
Examples of specialized experience includes : acquisition of real property, management of real property, the administration of federally owned, leased or cosigned space or property, preparation and disposal of real property.
Experience & Education
Experience managing real property records, reviewing and maintaining base master plans (BMP). Providing and coordinating community planning issues with multiple stakeholders.
Requires knowledge of real estate laws, principles, practices and markets
Physical Requirements / Working Environment
Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions
