Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join our dynamic and diverse team environment in Orlando, FL.

This position is open to telework opportunity The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, modifying and maintaining customized or standardized embedded applications using software engineering best practices and standards, and participate in the full life-cycle of software development, to include requirements development, modeling and design, application development, unit to CSCI testing, integration, formal system testing, release, installation, and maintenance.

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Work with a team of software engineers to : Maintain and develop codePerform peer code reviews to ensure adherence to standardsPerform integration testing to ensure quality controlParticipate in database modeling and design activitiesParticipate in user interface design activities
  • Collaborate with software requirements analysts and subject matter experts
  • Basic Qualifications :

  • A Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a STEM related field and a minimum of 0- 1 year of relevant experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Ability to execute system integration, verification and validation testing as part of a cross functional team.
  • Demonstrated use of high level programming languages such as C / C++
  • Experience with software tools such as GIT, JIRA, Eclipse, and / or Visual Studio
  • Experience working on Agile software development projects
  • Experience designing data structures and / or user interfaces
  • A basic understanding of SQL
  • Salary Range : $60,000.00 - $82,000.00
