Business Development Manager - ICIS Dubai

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join ICIS’ fast-growing team as Business Development Manager.

As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving the new business development of petrochemicals and energy commodity market intelligence solutions.

The Middle East team has been growing +20% year-on-year and we are looking for someone who can join us to sustain this and grow further in 2019!

He / she should be able to work autonomously to generate revenue using a value-based sales methodology to prospective ICIS customers.

You will need to be a motivated and energetic individual, with demonstrable experience in high value, solution sales. It is a target driven role requiring high levels of productivity, commercial awareness and focus but an incredibly rewarding one and very well rewarded in commissions.

You must thrive in an international and complex environment, be a team player and be willing and able to combine innovative thinking with hands-

on execution of sales from lead to close.

Responsibilities :

  • Achieves sales targets effectively
  • Identifies new business opportunities to increase market share
  • Establish strong customer relationships through strong influencing skills, understanding the customer’s business, and issues affecting their marketplace
  • Build trust and commitment with a broad range of customers
  • Seek, and act on, customer feedback to improve own performance and the customer experience
  • Foster a mind-set in others where they are encouraged to put customers first as well as going beyond the day to day working to wow customers
  • Understand and promote the unique benefits of our products and services to delight existing and potential customers
  • Use a wide variety of internal and external networks, to provide the best thinking and solutions for customers
  • Requirements :

  • Successful track record in high value, solution sales
  • Good knowledge of petrochemicals and energy markets
  • Passion for customer is essential - creating strong, long term relationships with customers
  • Excellent ability to communicate powerfully and prolifically
  • People orientated, ability to collaborate well with the team
  • Capability to build strong relationships both externally and internally
  • Experienced at working with CRM systems
  • Demonstrable understanding of sales proposition
