Due to the continued success of our Middle East operations, we are looking for a Resident Engineer for our Abu Dhabi operations.
You will contribute by providing technical expertise in specialist areas of Instrumentation, Control and Automation, SCADA and Safety Instrumented Systems.
The candidate to have sufficient background in water and wastewater treatment and pumping stations, with further experience in SCADA and communications.
To have broad experience in the design, specification and commissioning of electrical equipment, instrumentation and control systems (hardware and software) and SCADA for projects.
You will be required to be involved in designing, managing and implementing the delivery of leading edge programs and projects.
You will ensure that their relationship towards clients are in accordance with our contractual obligations and can be delivered on time, to cost and of a high quality standard, which can result in repeat orders.
Reporting to the Group Manager, Technical Lead will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered to profit, timeliness and quality and technical standards to meet both client and Stantec expectations.
Technical Lead should build strong rapports with clients at a senior level, ensuring a relationship of trust, respect and ethics are always present.
Understand the Middle East budgetary targets for Industry and HSE Group and be able to translate those to projects
Contribute in proposal preparation, technical and commercial
Review market conditions and prices to support business development process
To determine client’s needs and achieve results to meet and exceed client’s expectations.
Must ensure the project deliverables adheres to Global Project Delivery Framework and all Operational policies and procedures.
Plan project and co-ordinate resources in liaison with project managers efficiently.
It is the responsibility of the Resident Engineer to assist with the mentoring, motivation and development of staff.
Support and coordinate with other offices on resource sharing
Provide feedback on an on-going basis to team members. Provide formal feedback during the Performance Track process on each team member’s performance.
