In synergy with our international sales and administration teams, you will be in charge of advising and providing support and expertise on all legal, compliance and regulatory issues relating to health / life insurance in order to assist the Group’s international expansion, in particular in the Asia, Middle-
East and Africa region. You will also be responsible for corporate law matters pertaining to Henner entities in these regions.
Primary responsibilities are as follows :
Drafting, negotiating and validating commercial agreements including intermediary, cooperation and third party administration services agreements, etc;
Safeguarding the legality of operations and status of Henner Group entities in the AMEA region;
Assisting in the structuring and implementation of commercial partnerships (preliminary studies, drafting of relevant protocols, response to calls for tender, etc);
Assisting and advising internal clients on any legal and regulatory matters (writing internal notes, presentations, training of sales team members, etc);
Coordinating and monitoring of corporate housekeeping activities for Henner Group international entities (preparation of board and assembly meetings and coordination of formalities with local corporate secretaries, etc);
Participating to legal and regulatory watch and proactively identifying new issues.
This position requires a solid and proven experience in contractual negotiation allowing to work independently within required deadlines, as well as an appetite to deal with cross-
border legal and regulatory situations in direct contact with multicultural teams.
Post graduate law degree is a must UK / US / French preferred
5 / 7 years comprehensive working experience as a legal counsel on corporate, commercial and / or contract law in a business environment
Previous work experience in insurance industry and / or international environment would be an advantage
Pro-active self-starter with the ability to identify legal issues and to advise in relation to a wide variety of commercial matters
Strong business acumen, interpersonal and communications skills
Excellent verbal and written skills in both French and English
