Job Role : Section Head of CorporateCommunity

The purpose of the job

The document is managed for activities relatedto supporting relevant policies andimplementing awareness programs to encourage governmentinstitutions and other institutions to adopt internalpolicies aimed at increasing social impact, and supporting them insocially oriented development programs(e.

g. expanding corporate community responsibility programs).

Formulating strategies

  • Identify key strategic priorities aimed at enhancing the privatesector's contribution to Abu Dhabi's communitydevelopment sector by leveraging research, input from stakeholders and other relevantstandards
  • Develop strategic initiatives andplans to ensure continuous improvement of businessactivities
  • Ensure cooperation with relevant partners toensure that activities are implemented and that the desired resultsare achieved in line with the strategic objectives ofthe Authority
  • Programme management

  • Participate with the relevant government departments, support theadoption of internal policies, and develop internal programs toenhance social impact
  • Participating with privateinstitutions, supporting the adoption of internal policies, anddeveloping socially oriented internal programs to enhance socialimpact (such as expanding the scope of corporate socialresponsibility programs)
  • Developing and pushing theimplementation of a tool to measure the participation and socialinnovation of entities operating inAbu Dhabi
  • Provide input and supervise institutionevaluations to measure public participation and issue reports asneeded
  • Developing and advancing the implementationof the ProgramC honoring the top performing institutionsat the level of participation and social innovation in AbuDhabi
  • Ensure coordination with the Partnership andImpact Section to establish the partnershipsrequired to implement tailored programs and ensure optimal coveragefor target groups
  • Identify keyperformance indicators and monitor the level and impact ofprogrammes
  • Share key points and ensure thatresults are communicated effectively to the leadership andstakeholders
  • Monitoring the implementation andeffectiveness of all developed programs, drawing lessons learned,and adjusting future programs accordingly
  • Operational duties and responsibilities

    Institutional strategy

  • Manage plans developedto ensure smooth operations that facilitate the achievement ofstrategic goals for community participation
  • Ensure timely submission of data and reports to the Director of the Office, and recommend operationalimprovements necessary to support planning, decision-making and continuous development
  • Follow-up monthly and quarterly performance results, identifyperformance gaps and their consequences, and oversee thedevelopment of corrective actions on the root causes of gaps
  • Ensure that the department's priorities and plans areconsistent with the strategic objectives of the Office,and implement them at the specified times andwithin the established budget and at the highest quality
  • Financial and regulatorymanagement

  • Managing budget allocation at the divisionlevel to ensure full compliance with the budget, discovering anydeviation from the plan in a timely manner, and taking correctiveactions when necessary, in line with the approved governanceprocess
  • Consolidating all budget inputs to formulatethe department’s budget, presenting them to the officemanager for approval and promoting their consolidation
  • Encouraging the use of technological resources and jointcooperation between the various sectors and departments of theAuthority
  • Ensure that the policies and proceduresapplied to the department are implemented
  • Managing individuals

  • Manage the process ofdrafting workforce planning reports, talent plans and budgetsrequired for the division to ensure that the necessary numbers ofemployees are assigned to facilitate optimal operations.
  • Set performance management objectives for all subordinates, conduct mid-and-end reviews, monitor performance andgive customized guidance when necessary to ensureperformance objectives are met
  • Identify the talentsrequired for pivot all roles from a succession management perspective to ensure business continuity, and coordinate with human resources to enroll in thenecessary programs
  • Provide guidance to subordinateson operational management and personnel management issues, andprovide them with training and guidance when necessary to ensurethey are well prepared to handle operational requirements from aprofessional and behavioral perspective
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from arecognized academic institution, preferably a master's degree

    6 yearsminimum experience in a similar position in the communitydevelopment sector, including two years in a leadership position,and the need to have strategic planningexperience.
