Do you want to work in one of the fastest growing and most innovative businesses at Amazon? Amazon Devices is seeking a hands-on and customer-obsessed seasoned marketing professional responsible for developing our point of sale and display activation strategies across the Middle East and to support our wider EU marketing efforts.

Through deep insight into Middle East North Africa (MENA) consumers, retailers and store formats, you will develop and deliver Point of Sale (POS) strategies that measurably improve the customer experience at the point of purchase.

You will also manage our MENA field team to create knowledgeable, enthusiastic advocates of Amazon Devices in our retail partners.

You will need to thrive and deliver results in an ambiguous, and fast-paced business environment, operating across multiple teams and levels in the organization.

As the owner of MENA retail fixtures and displays with and through channel partners, you will work closely with global and local marketing teams to develop break-through in-store experiences, and create rigorous analytical processes to measure their efficiency while optimizing the overall budget.

Key job responsibilities

  • Create a best in class knowledge of shoppers in each sector (consumer electronics, department stores, mass retail, Telco etc), developing omni-channel retail solutions to drive a measurable impact on shopper understanding, purchase intent and cross category purchasing via point of purchase displays and merchandising.
  • Lead creation of innovative point of sale playbooks and merchandising approaches for existing and new retail accounts.
  • Work with key MENA bricks and mortar retailers' to deliver training to store colleagues through combinations of e-learning, livestream and face-to-face methods
  • Own the development and launch of temporary display fixtures in order to help consumer engagement, decision making and gain additional siting to driveand purchase in store, owning the MENA and EU region.
  • Own briefing to execution process in order to deliver high impact, cost effective display solutions, delivering upon key business objectives such as CX impact, speed, ROI and maintenance / in store compliance.
  • Work with Amazon and partner agencies to lead briefing, execution and sign-off of in store merchandising collateral. Coordinate cross-functional teams, communicating internally and externally, while meeting tight deadlines and ensuring compliance with brand guidelines and global disclosure guidelines.
  • BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    English and Arabic fluency

    Excellent understanding of consumer product marketing strategies especially in the off-line retail and high-technology space

    Track record of success in multi-party marketing partnerships and extensive experience working with consumer electronics retailers

    Ability to think strategically and execute methodically

    Ability to create new and innovative consumer experiences

    High attention to detail including precise and effective communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

    Proven success in delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment

    Considerable experience in consumer marketing such as channel marketing, retail marketing, product marketing, merchandising, or advertising

    Demonstrated success in data intensive quantitative analysis and recommendations; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up program recommendations and results

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Consumer electronics experience in the Middle East highly desired, but not essential.
