Careem Food is pivotal to our Super App ambition. We have already created waves in the market with our bold decision to become the region’s first and only restaurant-centric food delivery platform, and are ready to scale and grow exponentially across markets.

The Strategy & Insights team for Food is responsible to set the direction for Food across the markets using data and customer insights, and to manage strategic cross-cutting programs.

The team is looking for an enthusiastic and driven professional who can support the Head of Strategy in achieving his goals by taking part of the load and running with it.

It is a high visibility role with a lot of opportunity for tangible business impact and a lot of execution flavor.

Key responsibilities

Support in strategy definition & program management

  • Bring critical thinking and an analytical approach to solving hard strategic problems and to turn preliminary thoughts and ideas into sound plans
  • Work with product, finance and commercial teams across geographies to translate strategy to execution;
  • Lead work streams and projects independently in cross-functional settings
  • Support the Head of Strategy on key forums and meetings with broader Careem leadership (setting agenda items, preparing content, managing stakeholders, etc.)
  • Own insights & analytics for Food

  • Keep a tab on market trends and insights across FoodTech ecosystem, and identify opportunities for Careem
  • Work with analysts to derive insights and identify areas for growth & improvement from internal data
  • Structure the analyses needed to answer key business questions, work with analysts to perform analyses and derive insights
  • Communicate data and market insights in a concise and structured manner, and feed them into the various cross-functional forums and strategic discussions.
  • Qualifications and skill sets

    The ideal candidate would be someone who has 4-6 years of work experience in strategy, analytics or program management roles (experience in a high-growth tech startup or a consulting environment highly desirable).
