The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Special Programs Evaluations Assessments & Response (SPEAR) Team is looking for an independent, highly talented, and motivated physical security specialist and leader to serve as the Regional Manager of the SPEAR Evaluations EMEA EDGE / NTE (Non-Traditional Environments) Team.
This position is virtual, and requires extensive travel amounting to approximately 50%, to ensure the delivery of this team’s mission.
The EMEA EDGE / NTE Team Regional Manager leads a team of experienced and skilled specialists performing physical security evaluations primarily of our EDGE and NTE data facilities in the EMEA Region.
These evaluations ensure the application of physical security including people, processes and measures, and the team identifies and documents vulnerabilities to provide guidance on the path to resolution.
As such, the EMEA EDGE / NTE Team and Regional Manager contribute to the global effort to uphold the confidentiality, integrity and availability of AWS services.
The Regional Manager works directly with other AWS Physical Security Teams, AWS Management, and partners to schedule evaluations and collaborate in the real-world application of physical security within AWS.
This leader will plan and execute regional operations, contribute globally, and closely coordinate with other SPEAR Teams to drive down security vulnerabilities across the EMEA Region.
This person reviews and is knowledgeable of new and cutting edge technologies and security measures for possible application to the existing suite of security processes and measures to enhance the security posture across AWS.
Additionally, the Regional Manager may be directed to support and lead evaluations on physical security measures under consideration by AWS Security, and participate in the development, analysis, and improvement of physical security standards.
The ideal candidate is an experienced leader adept at running and developing a team of high performing security specialists capable of working at all levels across the organization.
The Regional Manager must have an extensive working knowledge of physical security principles and how those relate to practical application and real world implementation of processes and measures.
This also includes experience implementing Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED), to include concepts and principles, data collection, analysis, presentations and reports, behavior and the physical (built) environment.
The candidate must be experienced and skilled at planning, executing, and delivering products for our customers, both internal and external.
