Job Role : Consultant FamilyMedicine

Overall Job Summary

Consultant Family Medicine is responsible for providingand maintaining a high standard of individualized medical carebased on current best-practice guidelines to guests and theirfamilies, and takes an active role in working within the nursingand multidisciplinary teams.

MainResponsibilities

  • Identity and obtain the necessary clinical, medicaland / or other surgical history in order to carry out medicalexamination.
  • Perform a thorough examinationfor all guests according to the DOH and Company guidelines formedical screening.
  • Identify guests that areconsidered high risk and make any necessary referrals to otherspecialized health care professionals as required
  • Promptly communicate to other healthcare professionalsany significant abnormalities detected during guest assessment andfollow centers and DOH policies and procedures regardingaction
  • Perform or schedule necessarydiagnostic procedures and clinical tests
  • Produce reports on investigations performed and completethe appropriate documentation for the necessaryauthorities
  • Provide full explanation toguests, their families and appropriate others.
  • Responds to all emergency calls, when on duty.
  • Reports any communicable diseases to DOH, using thecomputerized method.
  • Use a computerized systemto record, support the provision of guests care / ortreatment.
  • Create and maintain clinicaldocuments. Clinical documents must be accurate, completed in atimely manner and reflect specific information and servicesprovided to the patient.
  • Work toward achievingthe department specific clinical KPIs and the Hospitals clinicalKPIs.
  • Ensure providing services that are incompliance with all applicable standards and requirements of JointCommission International (JCI),Legislation, Policies, QualityStandards, DOH, and all other applicable regulatorybodies.
  • Maintain an appropriate level ofcontinuous professional development through interdisciplinarytraining, with online courses and other educationalalternatives
  • Promote effective communicationstrategies and maintain good interdepartmental liaison.
  • Adhere to the Medical Caregivers Bylaws, Rules andRegulations, and hospital policies and procedures.
  • Organize and participate in regular departmentalactivities, meetings and / or reports.
  • Maintainconfidentiality of all information in accordance with hospitalpolicy.
  • Communicate in a culturally sensitivemanner with patient and family using appropriate terminologies inpatient interactions.
  • Ensure socialaccountability in providing the highest caliber of care towards thehospital’s wide range of patient demographic.
  • Develop and write Public Health Programs in line with thedepartment / hospital requirements.
  • Education

  • MBBS Degree or equivalent with a sub-specialtyin Emergency Medicine is an advantage.
  • Experience

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in aJCI accredited hospital / medical Centre.
  • Certification andLicensure

  • DOH license.
