Job Role : Banquet Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Directs and motivates banquet team whilepersonally assisting in providing high quality service based onrequirements and standards.

Monitors and controls financial andadministrative responsibilities including asset protection.Provides clear and concise communications to everyone servicing theevent.

Identifies training opportunities and plans a strategy toaccomplish goals.

CANDIDATEPROFILE

Education andExperience

  • Highschool diploma or GED; 2 years' experience in the eventmanagement, food and beverage, or related professionalarea.
  • CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

    Managing Banquet ServicesOperations

    Projects supply needs for the department, (e.g., china,glass, silver, buffet presentations, props).

    Applies knowledge of all laws, as they relateto an event.

    Understandsthe impact of Banquet operations on the overall success of an eventand manages activities to maximize customer satisfaction.

    Adheres to and reinforces allstandards, policies, and procedures.

    Maintains established sanitationlevels.

    Managesdepartmental inventories and maintains equipment.

    Uses banquet beverage records tocontrol liquor costs and manage the banquet beverage perpetualinventory.

    Schedulesbanquet service staff to forecast and service standards, whilemaximizing profits.

    Assists team in developing lasting relationships withgroups to retain business and increase growth.
