Job Description

The purpose of this role is to develop the strategic and tactical plan for driving the successful launch and performance acceleration for SPINRAZA and Tofersen in the Gulf and evolving the penetration to meet patient needs.

Key responsibilities :

  • Develop a deep understanding of the market and disease landscape (SMA and ALS)
  • Support and drive the development of the product strategy for SPINRAZA and Tofersen
  • Lead local development of an innovative tactical plan, aligned with global strategy in close collaboration with the x-functional team
  • Deployment of innovative commercial tactics through campaigns, marketing material and (cross functional) projects targeted towards HCPs, nurses, patients as well as PAGs
  • Prepare and execute the launch of SPINRAZA / Tofersen within the cross functional team and strong collaboration with regional / global stakeholders
  • Expand SPINRAZA penetration in launched markets and defend vs competitor entries
  • Play a key role in digital transformation - Enhance and drive multi-channel approach in close collaboration with Medical, Sales and Public Affairs
  • Identify and communicate local market insights about opportunities and challenges and present local marketing interests and needs back to regional / global Marketing
  • Drive meaningful market research together with CMI to close identified knowledge gaps
  • Close collaboration with Sales ie.. communicate and effectively work out new strategies and activities with / for the sales team
  • In charge of the marketing budget and forecasts
  • Lead monitoring and tracking efforts, understand ROI and adapt approach if required
  • Foster an environment of cross-functional collaboration and best-practice sharing across all therapeutic areas.
  • Develop close relationships and project with Key Medical Experts
  • Develop the company’s image and position in the relevant medical and market sectors
  • Support field team w / training and in the marketing strategy / tactical plan execution
  • Experience

  • 5+ years in pharmaceutical industry, including new product launches and LCM experience
  • At least 3 years of Pharmaceutical brand management experience, preferably in the
  • Neurology / CNS or Rare Diseases area
  • Preferably at least 3 years’ experience as Sales Rep. in a Pharma Company
  • Thorough understanding of commercial business aspects including sales planning and execution, market access, patient advocacy, regulatory, reimbursement and hospital formulary listing
  • Fluent in Arabic and English languages
  • Experience in Rare Disease platform strongly desired
  • Demonstrated strengths in the following key areas :

  • P&L management / budget management
  • Project Management Skills & ability to perform under stress
  • Highly Proficient in Senior Management Presentation Development and Presentation Skills
  • Identifying growth opportunities and driving organization to capture value
  • Formulating and implementing effective marketing and sales strategies
  • Effectively working with and leading cross functional teams
  • Developing business cases to recommend and rationalize investments and other strategic actions
  • Education :

  • University degree in business or life sciences; BSc / BA; MBA preferred
  • Excellent communication / coordination / interpersonal skills
