Originating & marketing Trade Finance products to Financial Institutions and Non-Bank Financial Institutions in the Middle East region
Development of Trade Finance Business with banks and Non-Banks (Sovereign, Family offices..) in the Middle East region
Responsible for management of portfolios of Banks and Non-Banks requiring Trade Finance Products such as LC confirmation, Inward & Outward Guarantees, Trade Loans, Bank Avalization and other FI related trade products defined by the Business line from time to time.
Working very closely with FI coverage in optimizing Trade Finance revenues.
Develop and manage secondary trade asset book (buying and selling activity) with Banks and Non-Banks in the region, in close coordination & direction of Trade Asset Placement team in Paris.
Close monitoring of risk associated with the client’s business, develop risk mitigation & early warning tools ensuring protecting bank’s interest.
Assist CA-CIB Trade Finance global network to develop the Trade business and to win mandates by negotiating competitive reissuing pricing with Banks in the region and also solving issues & providing other relevant support needed from Banks in the region.
Market Exporters / Importers to develop export LC business from financial institution angle. A close coordination is required with ITB teams locally and internationally.
Producing call reports of meetings and ensuring information is posted in ClientLive.
Preparation of credit applications, Early Birds to ITB Business Committee for new business opportunities, including conflict checks and compliance opinions.
Ensure compliance at all times with compliance, sanctions & AML policies and with all financial control, RPC, audit, legal and regulatory requirements.
Minimal education level
Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent
Academic qualification / Speciality
Business Administration or any other Bachelors
Level of minimal experience
Over 8 years of marketing & origination experience of Trade Products, of which past 3 years to be related to marketing Trade products to Banks.
Strong ability to build network with key decision makers and to engage in origination action.
Comprehensive knowledge of the FI / NBFI market in the region under responsibility
Technical skills required
Required to have thorough knowledge of Trade Products.
In depth knowledge of marketing of trade products to FI clients.
Ability to appraise & monitoring the risk associated with FI clients for trade facilities and related credit process.
English is a must
