A well-known product distributor in the UAE is urgently looking for a Supply Chain Manager. The post-holder will oversee several units of the company which are purchasing / buying, warehouse, operations, and supply chain.
This is a senior role that will report directly to the CEO and will have the following job responsibilities :
Responsible for sourcing new suppliers for the company
Handling all the negotiations and communication with all existing and prospective suppliers
Manage supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery and total cost
Create supply chain management strategies that increase efficiency and speed
Ensure efficient supply chain management, warehouse management, and operations across all locations in the MENA region
Ensure online and physical inventories are aligned
Reviewing supply chain practices and suggesting risks minimizing methods
Collaborate with other departments to identify vulnerabilities and close operational gaps
Focus on safety, cost management and business growth in all interactions and directives
Expanding the market reach of the company to different areas in MENA
Prepare and submit reports to CEO on a regular basis
Monitoring and ensuring that KPIs are met
Optimize warehouse functions
Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, you need to meet the following criteria :
A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, logistics, or related field,
At least 5 years’ experience in a similar field, FMCG / product distribution is highly desirable
Ideally has CSCP or CPSM certification
Experience in managing a team; managing teams in multiple countries is highly desirable
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Experience in the use of high-volume data for the purposes of trend analysis and performance improvement
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills
Strong understanding of the MENA market
Must be flexible to travel to different locations
Proven track record in developing markets and achieving business results
